IMPORTANT NOTICE
All sporting and leisure activities have inherent hazards associated with them
and rambling is no exception. In spite of the safety of members always being the
paramount concern, accidents will occasionally occur. It is important, therefore,
that when entering into the activity, each member appreciates that they have a
responsibility to identify the hazards associated with the activity and take all
reasonable steps to eliminate or minimise the potential for an accident to arise.

Our walks take place on alternate Sundays, meeting at the local train station in Mansfield. The car park is accessed from the Portland Retail Park, behind Burger King/Blockbuster. It can be seen marked with a red circle on this MAP. Parking is free on Sundays. We usually meet at 9.15 to arrange the final travel plans. This time can vary, so please check the table below.

Car sharing is arranged for those who do not have transport-when travelling in someone else's car we suggest a donation of at least £4 to the driver to help with current high fuel costs.

When we finish a walk we usually find a local pub for a drink and a chat, but if you do not wish to do this then the best thing to do is travel in your own car.

Suggestions for future walks are always welcome from members, especially if they offer to lead them! We meet twice a year to plan future walks. Keep an eye on the Events page for details.

Information on what to bring with you can be found on the FAQs page. Click HERE for the standardised walk grading system. The map codes refer to the appropriate OS Explorer map.
